HOW TO READ
HANGUL
ART DIRECTOR / GRAPHIC DESIGNER: YEIJI CHO
The Needs
Hangul, the Korean alphabet, was created by King Sejong in 1443. The King Sejong Institute in New York is supported and designated by the Korean government.
Hangul is really easy to learn. You can learn it in an hour or two. All characters are made of straight lines or circles. Furthermore, Korean pronunciation is phonetically consistent, unlike English. Therefore, spelling and pronunciation are systematic. Through this infographic poster, students in the institution or even people who are not in the course can learn to read Hangul correctly

Visual components from the letter
These visual components are designed based on the Hangul outline. Squared shapes represent the character's straight lines, whereas vowels and consonants vary in terms of width and height.
As these components are designated to add rhythm to the poster, the angles and patterns are different.
